3.0 Qualifying Round

Riders x32

  • Competitive order determined by time stamp of registration, first registration last, last registration first.

  • Run times are 1 minute 30 seconds.

  • The Qualifying Round will be a strict round based on 3 custom figures provided by the athletes. 

  • They will be graded according to their custom run. 

  • The 3 figures required are to be any trick/combo performed at low, medium and high. 

  • Upon completing their figures their run and time will end.

  • Non-elimination round.

3.1 Minute Thirties (Freestyle Round)

Round of 24

Riders x32

  • Rider order determined by Qualifying Round seeding. Lowest seeds will start followed by the higher seeds.

  • Run times are 1 minute 30 seconds.

  • Open Freestyle. No strict forms to follow. Standard rule.

  • Scoring will be based on a riders ‘body of work’. 

  • Scores will be averaged based on the score of the immediate run and previously scored rounds. 

  • Final scores will determine standings/seedings prior to next round.

  • Riders not placing in the Top 24 spots during this round following its conclusion will be eliminated.

  • Elimination round.

Round of 16

Riders x24

  • Rider order determined by standings/seeding. Lowest seeds will start followed by the higher seeds.

  • Run times are 1 minute 30 seconds.

  • Open Freestyle. No strict forms to follow. Standard rule.

  • Scoring will be based on a riders ‘body of work’. 

  • Scores will be averaged based on the score of the immediate run and previously scored rounds. (Qualifying Round, Round 1)

  • Final scores will determine standings/seedings prior to next round.

  • Riders not placing in the Top 16 spots during this round following its conclusion will be eliminated.

  • Elimination round.

Round of 8

Riders x16

  • Rider order determined by Qualifying Round seeding. Lowest seeds will start followed by the higher seeds.

  • Run times are 1 minute 30 seconds.

  • Open Freestyle. No strict forms to follow. Standard rule.

  • Scoring will be based on a riders ‘body of work’. 

  • Scores will be averaged based on the score of the immediate run and previously scored rounds. (Qualifying Round, Round 1, Round 2)

  • Final scores will determine standings/seedings prior to next round.

  • Riders not placing in the Top 8 spots during this round following its conclusion will be eliminated.

  • Elimination round.

3.2 Best of Three (Battle Rounds)

  • The Battle Round is a head to head competition which will pits two riders versus each other. 
  • There are 3 legs in this competition all requiring different means of execution. 
  • The first leg will require both riders to perform a standalone trick of choice. The rider judged to have the best standalone tick will win that leg and earn 1 point out of the overall 3 alotted points.
  • The second leg will require both riders to perform a transitional trick/combo of choice with a max combo of 2 tricks stung together. The rider judged to have the best transitional trick/combo will win that leg and earn 1 point out of the overall 3 alotted points.
  • In the event the scores are tied at one a piece a third and final leg will settle the round. The third round will require both riders to perform any trick/combination of choice without any restrictions. The rider judged to have the best free style trick/combo will win this leg and earn the final point in the overall 3 alotted points.
  • During Best of Three competition only 2 points are required to win the battle. 
  • The rules surrounding tricks and/or combo’s during this round is that the figures performed are scored on the accent and landing of a move. Once a rider has landed the figure is deemed complete and their round and time is over. 
  • Any tricks that aren't landed will not be scored. 

FINAL 8

  • Lowest seeds vs highest seeds in an eliminator style matchup.

1 vs 8

2 vs 7

3 vs 6

4 vs 5

FINAL 4

  • Lowest seeds vs highest seeds in an eliminator style matchup.

1 vs 4

2 vs 3

BATTLE FOR 3RD

  • Eliminated rider from 1 vs 4 and Eliminated rider from 2 vs 3 will battle for 3rd

BATTLE FOR 1ST

  • Winner of 1 vs 4 and Winner of 2 vs 3 will battle for 1st. Eliminated rider in this battle will place 2nd. 

General Rule: Higher seeded rider always flies last. Example. 2 vs 3...Three flies first, then 2.
